The Pyramids of Giza are Egypt's most iconic landmark and the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World, making them a must-see highlight of any luxury Egypt holiday. Built over 4,500 years ago during the Fourth Dynasty, the Great Pyramid of Khufu once stood at 146 metres and remained the tallest man-made structure on Earth for nearly 4,000 years. Guarding the plateau is the enigmatic Great Sphinx, carved from a single limestone outcrop and believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre.
