The Pyramids of Giza are Egypt’s most iconic landmark and the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. Built over 4,500 years ago during the Fourth Dynasty, the Great Pyramid of Khufu once stood at 146 metres and remained the tallest man-made structure on Earth for nearly 4,000 years. The site also includes the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, forming the legendary Giza Necropolis.

Guarding the plateau is the enigmatic Great Sphinx, carved from a single limestone outcrop and believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre. Visitors can explore the surrounding mortuary temples, panoramic desert viewpoints, and, in some cases, the interior chambers of the pyramids.

Located just outside Cairo, the site combines ancient grandeur with dramatic desert landscapes, making it the most visited attraction in Egypt for international travellers, including the UK market.
